Collaborative Partners Hold Meetings Once Per Week To Discuss the Topics Below
Holding meetings is a challenge seeing as Collaborative Partners (CPs) live and work across 4 continents, each with their time zones. Meetings are virtual, seeing as we work 100% remotely.
We have not found our feet yet with holding meetings. Notwithstanding, we have our meetings and record them. The idea is if someone doesn’t make a meeting, the recording serves as a way to catch up.
We do not have all the answers yet to our various obstacles. We’re always looking to find solutions to the most pressing obstacles.
Imagine running an organization that is disrupting the status quo, and we do this without a budget.
Each CP has a conventional job to pay the bills. Though this could be taxing, we do it because our primary focus is evolving inner peace with ourselves and humanity. We are looking for ways to balance the time required for our conventional jobs, with what we do primarily at Peace Evolution, and our secondary focus of making money.
Holding our meetings would be resolved at some point, and in retrospect, we would likely say, the solution was simple, and wonder why it was an obstacle originally.
Meeting Check-ins
We start our meetings with a check-in.
The idea with this is to leave anything and everything in our daily lives “at the door” so we clear our minds by sharing it with the team.
Though this is tricky at first, CPs warm up to this feature after participating a few times.
Meeting Check-outs
During this slot, at the end of meetings, we share our experiences during the meeting.
Both the check-ins and check-outs each take a minute or two per person, which is possible because these are not discussions, merely a sharing opportunity.
Working IN The Business
One of our topics is working in the business. These are operational meetings. We discuss what we’re working on, plan new work, and reflect on past work.
We work in two-week Sprints. This is a feature of Scrum. Every fortnight in our meeting we reflect on the work done in the previous Sprint, and we plan our next Sprint.
We use Scrum and have a Scrum Master as part of our team of CPs.
Working ON The Business
This is another meeting topic. We make use of a DIY model of Holacracy.
This is about decision-making. Each CP works autonomously and is responsible and accountable to themselves while collaborating with like-minded CPs to achieve our collective results.
During these meetings, we discuss and work on evolving the governance of PE.
The governance forms part of what we do to maintain harmony amongst CPs so that we know the scope, purpose, and accountabilities of our roles.
Evolving Ourselves
We put aside time to discuss how we evolve inner peace within ourselves. If we don’t know the origin of where inner peace exists, we aren’t able to evolve inner peace with humanity.
During these meetings, we workshop ideas, concepts, hypotheses, and how we perpetuate our Second-choice Selves.
And how it takes honesty and courage to recognize this behavior.
And that we are able to make the step-change to our First-choice Selves.
During these meetings, we discuss, facilitate, and guide as needed around this topic.
Open Discussions
During open discussions, we talk about anything, sometimes with, and without an agenda, and ask and answer whatever questions are raised.
During these discussions, CPs share points they wonder about, and what they aspire to.
