The Role
We're seeking a talented and detail-oriented Descript Video Editor to join our team of Collaborative Partners. You would work autonomously, and be accountable and responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content that resonates with our audience. As a Descript expert, you need to leverage your editing expertise to create high-quality videos that meet our brand standards and exceed viewer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams (messaging, brand, marketing, and production) to understand video content requirements and objectives.
- Edit raw footage using Descript's editing tools, including Overdub, and more.
- Artfully breathe life into existing published footage, to improve viewer engagement.
- Incorporate graphics, motion elements, and music to enhance video storytelling.
- Ensure smooth transitions, clear audio, and consistent visuals across all videos.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail and adhere to brand style guides.
- Meet the video calendar deadlines consistently and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Descript features and trends.
Qualifications
- With 4+ years of experience post-editing video (experience with Descript required.)
- Strong understanding of video editing principles and techniques.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills.
- An innovative eye for detail and a passion for storytelling are required with each video.
- Proficiency in Scrum and Sprint principles is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously, independently, and as part of a vibrant and like-minded team.
